Murals & Trompe L’oeil
A mural is a painted artwork on a wall or ceiling applied in a variety of styles and can be traditional, modern or abstract, using oil or water-based media.
There are many techniques of painting murals, fresco is one of the best-known (meaning “fresh” in Italian) fresco is the art of painting with pure pigments, which use water-soluble paints with water on wet lime, a rapid use of the resulting mixture over a large surface and the colors lighten as they were dry.

Another style of painting murals is the trompe l’oeil. A typical trompe l’oeil mural might portray a door leading to a patio. Window opening led through into courtyard area or hallway. The viewer is given the impression that there is a three- dimensional object or scene before them.
